Jobs can be difficult and challenging. But what can be more difficult than sitting beside your bed and working on your computer and staying awake all night? Well, ask me if you want an honest reply.

My current job requires me to work from home. The shift hours are based on US timezones. The shortest possible time-lag between Indian standard time and those American timezones is ten and half hours. Unfortunately, my shift starts from 12.30 am IST. When everyone in the house roams in dreamland, I have to glue my eyes to the computer and work. And not to mention my company has the tag-line: “Work from comfort of your home.”

Caffeine has never been very effective on me. So I tend to avoid it. Music is a good answer. I keep foobar open all this time. Thank God my manager doesn’t come breathing behind my neck and watch me work.
